Crescent Moon uses 100% natural, organically grown alpaca wool. Alpaca fiber is hollow, making it one of the warmest natural fibers available. It is also very light and soft so we add some sheep wool to hold the fibers apart and produce more loft.
Alpaca fiber's porous nature is naturally dry and clean which prevents dust mites and other allergens from settling in. Recent research has found that dust mites are one of the most common causes of asthma and allergies in the bedroom.
The shorn animals are raised in a pesticide free environment and their wool is a renewable resource. No chemicals, dyes or bleaches are used when the wool is processed. We use only 100% organic cotton fabric so the whole product is 100% biodegradable at the end of its long life. Alpaca fiber loves fresh air and will re-loft when put outside for a few hours.

The patented dual chamber and squared corner design keeps the filling under your head and neck where you need it. Pillow measures 20” x 14.5” x 4.5”. Pillow height is about 25-30% wool and 70-75% hulls.
The Rejuvenation Pillow provides a great solution for side sleepers who need between 4” - 6” of pillow height. Most pillows don’t give you that much which is why many wake with their neck in an uncomfortable position. You end up wakening and trying to adjust the pillow. Once your head and neck are aligned and cradled in the buckwheat pillow you have a better chance at staying asleep. With the dual chamber design you get a generous foundation of moldable hulls to keep your head elevated and your neck aligned and a soft layer of wool batting on top to cushion your face and ear. This Millet & Wool Pillow's unique duel-chamber design allows you to get the best of both worlds; the supportive nature of millet and soft fluffy feel and cooling of wool. The millet, like the Latex Support in our latex mattresses, provides your with stable support, cradling your head in alignment with your spine and maintaining that position.
The pillows are made exclusively of natural millet seed, Premium Eco-Wool, and certified organic cotton. The finished pillow is about 25-30% wool and 70-75" millet.
The wool in the top chamber acts like a mattress topper, creating an additional layer of comfort over the millet, making the pillow softer without sacrificing any support. Organic wool bolus—small pea-sized pellets of wool—is pre-felted, which means you can wash the whole pillow, not just the pillowcase. It is also incredibly malleable, forming to the shape of your head and allowing you to scrunch and shape it. Organic Wool Bolus Pillows are machine wash safe. Separate pillow and pillowcase and place in washing machine on cold, gentle cycle. Do not use bleach. Every few washes use a wool detergent to put the lanolin oil back into the wool to maintain its natural properties.
Tumble dry low with dryer balls to break up the wool and bring back original loft. If line dried, make sure to place in dryer, no heat, with dryer balls to break up the wool.

For people who sleep on their sides; hip, shoulder, and neck pain can be commonplace. When you sleep on your side the most important thing is to keep you spine, hips, and neck in proper alignment, the "neutral position." The mattress you are sleeping on is a major factor, contouring and molding to the curves of your body, supporting you and keeping the spine in the neutral position. What your mattress cannot do is keep your hips and shoulders open. Gravity causes the upper leg and arm to collapse or sag, which creates strain on the hips and shoulders.

The support of a quality body pillow is essential for times of skeletal stress, like that experienced by women during pregnancy. The Side Dreamer Pillow has been specially designed for--you guessed it!-- side sleepers. When you sleep on your side two things happen: one, your head sinks down which makes your neck bend; and two, your shoulders collapse. Thus, side sleepers often suffer from neck and shoulder pain due to strain. Here’s why:

Ka-what? Kapok! For those who like the classic feel of down with its cloudlike fluff, but with the resilience of wool, we have 100% organic and botanical kapok. Kapok is the silky fiber that surrounds the seeds of the kapok tree, found in the tropical forests of the south Pacific (ours is harvested in the Philippines). Organic kapok is one of the only sustainable resources coming out of the rainforest. Harvesting the kapok fiber doesn't hurt the trees and the farmers then spread the seeds to get more later - helping the forest and the ecosystem.
Do not attempt to wash any pillows that are made with cotton batting or wool batting. They may be gently spot cleaned with water and mild detergent if necessary, but don't try to remove them or put them in the washing machine.
The only pillows that can be washed are the ones only containing wool bolus and shredded latex.
