Side Dreamer Pillow

  • The Side Dreamer Pillow has been specially designed for--you guessed it!-- side sleepers. When you sleep on your side two things happen:  one, your head sinks down which makes your neck bend; and two, your shoulders collapse. Thus, side sleepers often suffer from neck and shoulder pain due to strain. Here’s why:

Sleeping on your side puts a lot of pressure on your lower shoulder, while your upper shoulder is left unsupported, which makes it sag. This sagging, or collapsing, causes stress on the joints and muscles, leading to sore and strained shoulders in the morning.

As for your neck, when the pillow you sleep with isn't lofty enough to fill the space between your head the mattress, or supportive enough to keep it properly elevated, the weight of your head will pull the neck out of alignment. This creates neck pain and can even lead to snoring, headaches, and pinched nerves.

The Side Dreamer Pillow's boomerang shape addresses both of these fundamental issues. Firm and lofty, it will keep your head properly elevated, opening the airways, and supporting the neck in good spinal alignment. Place you head on one section of the arch, while hugging the other. The pillow will prop up your arm as well as your head, reducing not only neck strain, but shoulder sag.

Side Dreamer Pillows are 22" long on each side of the pillow by 14" wide at the ends and 13" in the middle. All Side Dreamer Pillows come with a custom shaped pillow case to match.

Note: All pillow sales are final. Please allow a 1-2 week lead time.

  • When we say all natural and organic, we mean it. Since 1982 Soaring Heart Natural Bed Company has been making mattresses and bedding using time-tested techniques, honed and polished over three decades. Soaring Heart makes everything by hand and uses only the highest quality, certified organic, materials available.

Soaring Heart works closely with our suppliers.  We travel to their operations, getting to know them and their materials.  We collaborate with our suppliers so we can meet and exceed our exacting standards. We take huge pride in our products and in all the people behind them.

It's because of these special relationships with our suppliers and their wonderful organic wool, organic latex, organic cotton and their commitment to upholding organic certifications that we aren’t forced to spoil our products with chemicals or synthetics. No Soaring Heart product has any chemical-based foam or synthetic fire retardants whatsoever.

Our latex is made from pure rubber tree sap, we use organic wool as our fire barrier and it is selected from only the finest sheep farms in New Zealand, and our Cotton is 100% organically grown in the cotton fields of Texas. Nothing but good, honest organic materials provided by good, honest people.

The wool and cotton encasements in this product are GOTS certified.

  • Organic Wool Bolus

What could be better than a 100% organic wool pillow made with only the purest wool from small farms along the California and Oregon coasts? How about an organic wool pillow you can wash? Organic wool bolus—small pea-sized pellets of wool—is pre-felted, which means you can wash the whole pillow, not just the pillowcase. It is also incredibly malleable, conforming to the shape of your head and allowing you to scrunch and shape it.

    Organic Shredded Latex

Organic Shredded Latex has become a favorite and one of our top sellers. One of the advantages of a latex pillow is that it will never change its shape. However, to people who like to fluff and mold their pillows, the ergonomic and natural latex pillows leave them wanting. Organic Shredded Latex is the best of both worlds: shredding our wonderful 100% GOLS certified Dunlop latex (the same latex used in our Signature Mattresses) gives customers the perfectly scrunch-able, malleable pillow they want with all the lasting hypo-allergenic, moisture- and mildew-resistant benefits of latex. Good deal, eh?

    Organic Kapok

Ka-what? Kapok! For those who like the classic feel of down with its cloudlike fluff, but with the resilience of wool, we have 100% organic and botanical kapok. Kapok is the silky fiber that surrounds the seeds of the kapok tree, found in the tropical forests of the south Pacific (ours is harvested in the Philippines). Organic kapok is one of the only sustainable resources coming out of the rainforest. Harvesting the kapok fiber doesn't hurt the trees and the farmers then spread the seeds to get more later - helping the forest and the ecosystem.

  • Do not attempt to wash any pillows that are made with cotton batting or wool batting. They may be gently spot cleaned with water and mild detergent if necessary, but don't try to remove them or put them in the washing machine.

The only pillows that can be washed are the ones only containing wool bolus and shredded latex.

Be sure to protect your pillow from dust, stains, and other containment's with a Soaring Heart 100% Organic Cotton pillowcase.

Great pillow!

This is a great pillow, my partner and I both got one. It does take some time getting used to, and at times it feels like it slips above my head in the middle of the night. My neck and back feel so good though, it’s worth the purchase!

Fabulous Pillow

This Side Dreamer pillow is supportive of my neck, back and head. I look forward to going to bed every night. All my muscles relax when I lay on this pillow. The pillow is worth the cost. I feel the kapok filling is the best.

Made for me

As a side sleeper, I like have a nook for my shoulders and having the pillow to hold at the same time because I used to never know what to do with my arms. I appreciate knowing the materials I lay my head on every night are safe and natural. Sometimes I worry it might not be fluffy or firm enough but my body is not complaining so perhaps it is perfect.

Side Dreamer Pillow Rocks!

I have a strong preference for sleeping on my side and the Side Dreamer Pillow has been awesome! This one pillow replaced several others I was using to accomplish the same thing. Also a big fan of kapok as a pillow material...soft but still holds its shape to provide ample neck support.
