What could be more fun than kids and pillows? Once again the kids at Seattle's Fred Hutch School (supporting kids and their families during cancer treatment), have proven that there's nothing like building pillows to bring a smile to your face!
With more than 50,000 volunteers anticipated to turn out for this year's United Way of King County's annual Day of Caring, our team at Soaring Heart is pleased to partner with the Hutch and Seattle's Cancer Care Alliance to build and donate 80 pillows for the kids and their families at Seattle's Pete Gross House. With kids ranging in age from 5 to 15 and from as far away as Alaska and Alabama, these kids sure know how to get the job done. They stuffed each handmade, all organic cotton pillow case with 3 pounds (or more...) of shredded organic latex, attached a hand written gift card and sorted the pillows into huge stacks of gift bags.
If you live in the Seattle area, be sure to check out tonight's evening news (NBC), we're betting our fun-loving kids will be sharing some of their perspective on the best way to stuff a pillow with fun, love and lots of care. From all of us at Soaring Heart, our thanks for your support and loyalty. It warms our heart to share the gift of great sleep with everyone we can.
I would love a wool pillow. It’s on my list…hint, hint.

When it comes to improving your sleep quality and overall well-being, an organic mattress might seem like a luxury, but it’s truly an investment in your health, comfort, and the environment.
