If you’ve been part of our Soaring Heart family for long, you know we’re passionate about Earth Day. Our company is built on the belief that living a natural, organic lifestyle leads to a better quality of life and supports our planet in the most fundamental way. We’ve seen the difference organic beds and bedding have made for those with allergies, auto-immune irregularities, chronic pain, arthritis, muscle tension, chemical sensitivities, throughout recovery from surgery and the list goes on.
We’ve all heard of Earth Day. Everyone knows it centers around taking a day to focus on the health of our planet. But the full scale of the initiative is much larger than most of us realize.
Education is key to this global undertaking. Earthday.org strives to educate citizens all over the world about the threat of climate change and how to defend against it. They refer to it as “environmental and climate literacy” and they’re taking it to a new level for 2017 in launching the Campaign for Global and Environmental Literacy by Earth Day 2020. The goal is to ensure every student in the world graduates high school as an environmental and climate literate citizen, “ready to take action and be a voice for change,” just in time for Earth Day’s 50th anniversary in 2020. Schools, non-profits, business leaders and government groups are building a worldwide network to inform, educate and recruit people to join the cause.
It’s not just about the education initiative. Individuals can get involved in so many ways through the Billion Acts of Green campaign. Currently, they’ve reached 2,023,369,535 acts of green, on their way to 3 billion. It’s as simple as registering your act of green on the website. Some people have planted trees, stopped eating meat, given up smoking, worked with kids to write letters to the President, switched to organic produce. Like I said…simple. Odds are you’re already thinking about making some sort of green change in your life. What a great time to take the plunge, make the commitment and support Earthday.org in this amazing and inspiring undertaking.
The more you learn about natural living, the clearer it becomes. The earth gives us what we need. It’s up to us to use it respectfully and responsibly. We encourage you, during this time of awareness, to seek out and support companies and organizations who share these values. We’re always here to help!

When it comes to improving your sleep quality and overall well-being, an organic mattress might seem like a luxury, but it’s truly an investment in your health, comfort, and the environment.
