The global textile industry is huge. While America may have invented the cotton gin and sparked the first wave of large scale textile manufacturing, the vast majority of today's textile weaving is all done overseas. Last fall I visited some of the world's largest manufacturers of organic fabric in south India - and got to see first hand all the steps involved in creating the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified products we carry. Rest assured these manufacturers know their business and care about the quality of every stitch they produce.
Plants are modern, clean and run by very few staff.
Final products are huge rolls of woven cotton fabric - more than a yard across.
Each roll is hand inspected for flaws on light tables
Coimbatore is in south central India and is home to some of the largest textile mills in the world. While it's only one of several places from which we purchase our fabrics, it's clearly a key producer. Our hosts were quite impressed that we made a personal visit to their facility - but at Soaring Heart we believe we all sleep better knowing we are part of vibrant, caring communities. Maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers - no matter where they are in the world - is part of our commitment to the Soaring Heart difference!
I love that the owner of Soaring Heart takes the time to visit our suppliers & at times even takes his employees! Thank you, Mike!

When it comes to improving your sleep quality and overall well-being, an organic mattress might seem like a luxury, but it’s truly an investment in your health, comfort, and the environment.
