We're excited to announce that one of our latex mattresses, the Balsa, has undergone a significant upgrade in quality.
In its previous incarnation, the Balsa was a one-sided mattress (flip-able with use of a topper). Its encasement was crafted from GOTS-certified cotton, but included non-organic wool.
We have decided to change the sourcing of our Balsa encasements: we are now using OMI-produced, fully organic encasements. This means that the new, improved Balsa features two-sided, flip-able construction, and all of its fiber components -- wool as well as cotton -- carry the GOTS certification.
As always, the latex cores in our Balsa mattresses are identical to the latex cores that we use to craft our flagship Organic Latex Mattress. They are fully GOLS-certified, firm Dunlop latex.
We have upgraded the warranty duration on the new Balsa to 10 years, in recognition of the high quality of the OMI-produced encasements.
