Crescent Moon uses 100% natural, organically grown alpaca wool. Alpaca fiber is hollow, making it one of the warmest natural fibers available. It is also very light and soft so we add some sheep wool to hold the fibers apart and produce more loft.
Alpaca fiber's porous nature is naturally dry and clean which prevents dust mites and other allergens from settling in. Recent research has found that dust mites are one of the most common causes of asthma and allergies in the bedroom.
The shorn animals are raised in a pesticide free environment and their wool is a renewable resource. No chemicals, dyes or bleaches are used when the wool is processed. We use only 100% organic cotton fabric so the whole product is 100% biodegradable at the end of its long life. Alpaca fiber loves fresh air and will re-loft when put outside for a few hours.

The patented dual chamber and squared corner design keeps the filling under your head and neck where you need it.
With the dual chamber design you get a generous foundation of moldable hulls to keep your head elevated and your neck aligned and a soft layer of wool batting on top to cushion your face and ear. Together, these two fillings help you establish and maintain comfortable spinal alignment all night long.

The pillow is easily adjusted: Place the pillow on your bed with the wool on top for 4” of loft. If you are broad shouldered and need more loft, rotate the pillow a quarter turn so that it sits on its side with the wool facing you. In this position, the pillow also makes a great headrest to prop yourself for bedtime reading.
If the pillow is too lofty, you can easily remove some of the hulls using the convenient zipper, and adjust accordingly. Put the hulls away in a cool, dry place to be used later.

Soaring Heart makes a variety of pillows in a variety of sizes and shapes. While we sell wonderful pillow encasements in the standard/queen and king sizes from 100% Organic Cotton, Soaring Heart Natural Bed Company is first and foremost a mattress and bedding manufacturer, so when customers came to us looking for a pillow encasement in non standard sizes we were able to simply make them ourselves.
All of our pillow encasements are made of 100% USDA certified organic cotton sateen and are available in a zipper design. The zippered pillow encasements are great for the DIYers out there looking to make their own pillows. Our pillow encasements are natural, which is an off-white ivory.
When we say all natural and organic, we mean it. Since 1982 Soaring Heart Natural Bed Company has been making mattresses and bedding using time-tested techniques, honed and polished over three decades. Soaring Heart makes everything by hand and uses only the highest quality, certified organic, materials available.

Our latex is made from pure rubber tree sap, we use organic wool as our fire barrier and it is selected from only the finest sheep farms in New Zealand, and our Cotton is 100% organically grown in the cotton fields of Texas. Nothing but good, honest organic materials provided by good, honest people.
