This Product Uses The Following Raw Materials:
Natural Fleece
Our natural fleece is made up of two fabrics that create an all natural and sustainable sheepskin without the use of harsh tanning chemicals. Instead of skin, the Premium Eco-Wool™ is woven into a backing of organic cotton knit yarns. This creates a stable fabric for the wool to stand vertically, supported by the woven cotton backing. This is constructed much like a shag rug if you will.
Made of Premium Eco-Wool™ Batting, sourced from USA, West Coast and produced in accordance with our Sustainable Wool Program
Made with 100% organic cotton yarn grown in India, woven in MA, USA.
We are committed to using only the highest quality natural materials, sourced as locally as possible.

Toppers are too big to fit in most machines and are also not constructed with specific techniques that enable washing. Spot clean this item instead.
Happy Lamb undergoes a natural felting process within the first 6-8 months of consistent use, during which time the fleece takes on a slightly matted appearance. Spot clean and sun during this time to refresh.
After the initial break-in period, Happy Lamb Fleece can be machine washed in cold water. Manually set to soak and spin cycles only. Do not use the wash cycle, which agitates and can ruin your Happy Lamb. For stained items, add a dose of live cultured enzymes (try Bac-Out by Biokleen) during soak. Drape in the sun or warm place to dry. Do not wring or machine dry.
The scent of wool - Our wool, both natural and organic, is cleaned and processed naturally without the use of harsh chemicals. That's why you may notice the mild sweet scent of sunny farm pastures when you receive your new wool product. The wool retains 1% of the naturally occurring lanolin oil, which helps condition the fibers and keep them fluffy and soft for years to come. Most customers find the scent dissipates within a few days.
Gently spot clean the affected area.
Set aside to later wash the entire product once you have received the washing instructions.
You can also treat the problem area with live cultured enzymes which eliminate odors. (i.e. Biokleen makes a product called Bac Out.) These enzyme products can be found at your local health food store/ co-op.
If you need another copy of the washing instructions, please contact us.
We do not recommend dry cleaning, as they often do not fully understand the intricacies of cleaning natural wool. If you do, we recommend it is taken to a certified "green" dry cleaner. Regular dry cleaners use chemicals to clean, defeating the purpose of having a natural bedding product.
Placing your wool bedding in the sun a few times per year is an excellent way to refresh and cleanse your bedding using the benefits of the sun. Sunning will naturally deodorize, bleach, disinfect, and revitalize your bedding.
