YES! Soaring Heart Supports the WA Toxics Coalition

by Michael Schaefer August 12, 2015

Liz Zimmerly found out the pillow she was sleeping on every night contained toxic flame retardants.  See:

Flame retardants continue to be a major contamination problem in our homes.  While big steps have been taken to remove these chemicals from many products – studies continue to prove they are appearing everywhere especially our laundry, household dust and community waste water systems.    Bottom line:  consumer beware – it’s a lot harder to live in a safe, healthy environment than we may think.

Soaring Heart has been committed to providing all natural and organic bedding for decades – we use no chemical flame retardants and meet all health and regulatory requirements by using one all natural product -  wool!  While we might wish for all manufacturers to guarantee open, transparent labeling for all their ingredients, until that happens we do our best to support community watchdogs like the Washington Toxics Coalition.  You can find out more about their work, as well as new findings about the pervasiveness of flame retardants at the link above.

Rest assured we are doing our best to partner with organizations as dedicated as we are to safe, healthy sleep!  We welcome your feedback.
