Preparing for heading back to school this year won’t look like what you’ve done before. There is extraordinarily little about this year that will be like what you’ve done before. And if this is your child’s first time in school, you’ll be having a vastly different experience than many other parents have had.
But even though it will be different, it doesn’t mean you can’t prepare. There’s actually a lot you can — and should — do to get your kids and yourself ready for heading back to school. How about if you start with the correct mattress choice?
Last weekend our volunteer team from the Bellevue's Boys & Girls Club set a new record building our shredded latex bed pillows. As you can see from the pictures this was one busy team. The pillows they built will be available at the Soaring Heart location in Bellevue during the Taste of Main at a special Boys and Girls Club Price of just $65.
Did you know that nearly a third of Americans suffer from sleep deprivation? Despite experts recommending that adults sleep at least 8 hours, many get 6 hours a night or less. Summer is a time of change, and while no one denies having the sun on the horizon is a good thing it could be negatively effecting your sleep.
One thing we know at Soaring Heart is that great sleep can't be taken for granted. So today we're pleased to announce our second annual "Soaring Heart Scholarship" recipient at Bastyr University - Brian Kunakom. Brian is now completing his third year of studies in the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine program here in Seattle.
